Jalal Alamgir to speak at the JFK Library on the future of US influence

The 2010 American Studies Summer Institute, presented by the JFK Library and Museum with the University of Massachusetts Boston, will offer a critical and historical examination of the United States' global role and influence.

In the opening talk on July 12, Red Bridge Strategy principal and UMass Boston professor Jalal Alamgir analyzed and forecast the future of American influence in the world, in light of its current political risks and opportunities, and in the context of an increasingly interdependent world.

The talk was attended by more than 30 participants.
